Regal traditions and ancient monuments take centre stage today as you embark on a full-day excursion from London. Visit Windsor Castle - and a working Royal residence with a proud history. Windsor Castle has been home to the royal family for over 900 years and is still an Official Residence of the Royal Family. Visit the State Apartments and St. George's Chapel or take a short walk through Windsor Town to see why it was the Queen's favourite weekend getaway. Next, discover the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe - the ancient stone circle at Stonehenge. You will have time to admire the stones and visit the world-class exhibition and visitors’ centre before returning to London.

Meal(s) Full Breakfast

Your Travel Director will give you suggestions on how to make the most of your full day at leisure. Walk through 'The City' exploring the oldest part of London, the imposing dome of Christopher Wren's St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London, with its grim history and extraordinary royal heritage. Pay tribute to Admiral Nelson in Trafalgar Square and wander down The Mall to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the UK's Kings since 1837. Alternatively, consider a full-day Optional Experience to the enchanting Cotswolds, visiting Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, with a stop in the university town of Oxford to admire the towering spires of cathedrals, churches and colleges. London Tour package also includes tickets for the London City Sightseeing Hop-on Hop-off tour plus the bonus of three days’ included free travel on the city's central bus and Underground network.

Meal(s) Full Breakfast

Embark on a sightseeing tour featuring Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben beside the River Thames, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. See the Changing of the Guard (if held), Whitehall's mounted and Royal Horse Guards before spending the rest of the day enjoying a slice of London culture at your leisure. Perhaps join an Optional Experience to St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels and to meet the Yeoman Wardens of His Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress.

Meal(s) Full Breakfast / Regional Meal

This morning, visit one of the most important churches in London on a guided tour with a Local Host. Westminster Abbey has been the setting for 38 coronations since 1066, as well as royal weddings. It is the burial place of 17 monarchs, plus famous scientists, writers, composers and politicians. Find out why this church lost its cathedral status and what it means to be a Royal peculiar.  You can pay your respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Later, visit Kensington Palace, a royal residence since the 17th century set in Kensington Gardens London, not far from the Royal Albert Hall.  You’ll tour this former home to Diana, Princess of Wales, which now houses the private apartments of her son, Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.   Marvel at the beautiful sunken garden, a favourite of Diana’s.  Enjoy a delicious English cream tea in the adjacent Orangery before returning to your hotel.

Meal(s) Full Breakfast

No fewer than twenty markets lie within easy reach of central London. Borough Market, London's most renowned food market, presents an array of exceptional British and international produce. Your Local Guide will take you on a walk for a Cultural Insight into the daily lives of Londoners and the market traditions which have been passed down for generations. It is a haven for anybody who cares about the quality and sourcing of the food they eat - chefs, restaurateurs, passionate amateur cooks and people who just happen to love eating and drinking. During this afternoon, you may wish to take advantage of free entry to one of London’s outstanding museums.  Your Guide will offer two different drop-off options - either the Tate Modern, British Museum or Thames Riverside. Alternatively, you may wish to see the South Bank of the city and use your Oyster card to explore more on your own.

Everything was excellent and in line with the contract: a wonderful hotel in central London, transfer services from and to Heathrow airport, city tour, food, sightseeing, attractions, and most importantly, a friendly tour guide, the best treatment of Mr Rafiee and his daughter as a tour manager. We had a good tour and services to obtain a UK tourist visa and see major sites and attractions in London. We also went on an excursion to Windsor, Stonehenge and the great city of Roman Bath and we had free time to explore London on our own. Thanks for your lovely services.
